Forgot to mention this gem I devoured in just a few days: Going Bovine, by Libba Bray
A teenager dying from mad cow disease, a garden gnome, flying cows - what more do you need for an interesting premise? I fell in love with her writing on the first page and highly recommend this novel. Looking for more of her work to read soon.
